The inauguration of monthly programme of inoculation vaccination awareness at
the Panchayat Level was held on 7 10 2008 at 2 pm in the school hall under the auspices
of the school NSS Unit. In the meeting held in the chairmanship of Smt.Indira Teacher,
Sri. Sojy Chacko, the NSS Program Officer has welcomed the programme. The topic was
presented by Sri. Bhagavandas, Health Supervisor. He has conveyed the message to the
NSS volunteers that the inoculation vaccination is effective to the five dreadly diseases
which are affecting the children. These five diseases are Diftheria, Tetanas, Typhoid,
Measles and Polio. The felicitations were delivered by Sri. Prakash Kumar, VHSE section
and Sri. Nandakumaran Nair, HSA Natural Science.
The classes were taken to the NSS Volunteers by five experts dividing the
volunteers into five groups. Sri. Bhagavandas, Health Supervisor, Smt. Deepa Kumari,
Lady Health Supervisor, Smt. O P Selmath, Sri. Balan, Health Inspector and Sri.
Ashokan, Health Inspector took classes to each group and gave awareness about the
deadly diseases and its prevention through inoculation vaccination. There was a role play
by the NSS volunteers at the end of the class. The NSS volunteers also took an pledge on
the importance of the inoculation vaccination.
